Help- Fanblade wheel scratch/scuff damage
After 11 months of perfection, I scratched/scuffed one of my beautiful 18" polished fanblade wheels on my 06 GT. I am very upset as I was trying to park to avoid door dings from careless people, pulling close to curb and
I caught the wheel, giving it not one but two scuffs marks about an inch long each at the edge. Probably no one else will notice, but it bothers me a lot.
Local guys tell me there's nothing I can do about it. Didn't find much on TMS, some vague reference to having wheel machined? But, I'm afraid anything may make it look worse and spoil the wheel further.
Is there anyway to take the scratch/scuff marks out without risking further damage? Something simple I could do without getting too mechanical?
Thanks and Happy Holidays, H
