You can rip out the 'leather' inserts of any non-shaker GT (or I want to say any non-shaker Mustang, for that matter) and put in any material you want. You simply glue it in and then cut the edges in the channel with a very sharp knife and a very steady hand, on the outside and inside.
That's how they do it at the factory. Which is why they fall down all the time. Use contact cement and prevent it from doing it again!
Then all you need is silver door handles, and you're golden.
It's not hard... it's time consuming, that's all.
The other side of the difficulty is to get the material... and you can, but it's a bit of searching on line.
And some have put some insertable piping in the channel to make it stand out, that's an option.
Do it! Make them purple or bright yellow or something!

They're just stock door panels. You just need to find one at a junk yard with the red leather interior. I would think dealerships can still order them, but yeah they'll definitely be over priced though.
