Hey everyone new on here just wonder what kind of headers would be good ones to get and street legal I have an 1989 mustang LX 5.0 first mustang thanks alot

 

Headers aren't an issue. The isssue is if you have to pass an emissions test. If so I suggest Ceramic coated shorties with an X-pipe with high flow cats. No restrictions go off-road X-pipe.I used to run Dynomax headers BBK off road X-pipe and a Magnaflow catback system. It rumbled on the street untill you put your foot into it and then everything goes straight thru.

 

When you get a chance visit our fox section. look at our "tech" thread at right around post #10 there is info on headers and mid pipes, etc. There isn't a huge gain with shorties like there is with long tubes, but engine mods go along way with gaining the most out of the long tubes, etc, etc. if the car is pretty much stock along with the cat back then that will be an area that will bump some power over just swapping the shorties.
