GT350 for sale.
What years did they produce the GT350? There is a red one up the road nfrom me for sale. I need to take a closer look at it and speak to the seller and when I do I will take some pics for everyone. It looks like 65 or 66 styling? The paintwork looked ok but I was driving past and didnt have the time to stop.

If it's a '66 it'll have a back seat. All '65s only had the front buckets. A '66 will have a quarter window whereas the '65s had louvers. A '65 will have a smooth side scallop and a '66 will have a scoop.

Make sure its real. There are a ton of clones out there, and the real ones are pretty expensive. if the car's only $30-40k, its not real. If you want a clone, they are pretty nice, but do make sure you know what it is.

Look for a Shelby Vin Plate on the drivers side inner fender, should have a SFM......... sequential number, and this number will be stamped in the psgr side inner fender apron, near the shock tower....
Under this driver side vin plate will be a ford vin number, must have a "K" as the 5th digit.."289 hipo" in order to be a Shelby...
Also look for traction bar setup on rear end, overides, or underides, depending on year....,Check for 289 hipo harmonic balancer,,,should be about 2" thick, versus 1" thick for normal 289....
Hipo Alternator Pulley 4" diameter, racing seatbelts, not mustang...66 will have a Cobra tach, on top of dash, 65 will have a pod on dash with tach, oil presure gauge....
If it's real, it will not be had to see the difference...

You will find there are far more fakes than real 65-66 Shelbys......Only about 2600 real cars for the total of both years....take into account the number that have been destroyed....probably about half survived...
When big money is at stake, you will have rebodies, and fake Vin's....
If you need an opinion, let me know, been doing this for about 25 years...

Hope to go take a look at it today. I know I could never afford it but I will see what he is asking for it all the same. Maybe somebody on here might want it. Heard that a lot of people have been stopping and looking at it.
Also thanx for the advice Mark.
