This video contains good candor, views, sounds and historical events in our country.
The story is told by one of my favorite writers, Frank Markus. Ive enjoyed his work since his days at Car&Driver magazine.
I hope that you enjoy this during a quiet time of the day as much as I did. It just kind of took me away.......Bill

Thank you Bill for posting that video!! The video contained 3 things that i have a passion for! Mustangs, nature, and of course native american indian history! My greatgrandfather was full blooded cherokee and my greatgrandmother was choctaw, so i have a real interest in this subject! I dont exactly remember wich granfather it was (as far as great great great...etc) but i know one of them rode the trail of tears in 1830s. Heres a pic of a real bow and quiver made from buffalo hide from the cherokee people. It was a cerominal bow and hangs on my wall along with other things i have! Once again, thank you Bill!!

Supposedly there's a trace of Cherokee in me but I don't really know. Once in the NW I sort of adopted the Nez Perce and Chief Joseph is a personal hero. I continue to breed and protect his horses.
I'd like to watch Bill's vid link but my bandwidth limitations don't allow 16 min vids.

I hear stories from tow boat captains about a bend that gets pretty nasty in high water right below cape giradeau. And thats pretty dang cool how you still breed those horses! Ive never vistrd the trails of tears state park but i bet its pretty cool! My family setteled in a little town called poteau,OK. I just love indian history, especially knowing its part of my heritage
