Is this a good idea?!?

I'm planning on taking my car to the Outer Banks. I'd really like a pic of it on the beach in the sunset. I just don't know how it's going to do in the sand. I'm not wanting to drive up and down the beach like I'm in a Jeep. I just want a pretty pic :/ What do y'all think?!? Would you do it?!? Or is this the dumbest idea ever?!?

I've seen online where people in trucks let so much air out of the tires & it helped them roll right over the sand. But that's trucks. I'm not gonna say go out on the beach cause I don't know for sure!!!

I've read that about the air in the tires. It said to lower it between 20-25 psi. But like you said, it said for off road vehicles.

:/ I'll probably keep it on asphalt!!!

Drove the wifes minivan out onto a beach on Bolivar Peninsula in Tx had no issues at all. I'd say just driveit where other cars have driven

All depends on the sand, so just because you can do it in Texas doesn't mean you can do it at OBX. be careful!

Just thinking about it, makes me nervous. I would freaking die if something happened to my baby. I'm going to have to wait till after summer. They only allow driving in certain months.

Some beaches have "hard" sand, others have "soft" sand. Also, the sand will get "softer" as you get closer to the water. Daytona Beach, for instance, has very hard sand and there used to be car races up and down the beach.

Personally, I wouldn't try it unless I was 100% certain there wouldn't be a problem. However, it should be easy to photoshop.

I think they have signs where you can drive and yeah no driving on the dunes. The travel guide I have has a driving on the beach section. It just says off road vehicles. I think we will check it out when we get there. Thanks.

Will it not hurt the car? Seems like sand getting on your car could eventually cause problems if you don't wash your undercarriage

I think that sand on the OBX is pretty soft. I wouldn't.
