Just got myself an '05 V6 several weeks ago...just recently moved...new apartment, and looking to get back into road biking...so that's the background...the question is...has anyone tried to transport a bike on an '05 mustang yet?

I really only need to do it once to get it back from the store. I realize that I could ask a friend to do it for me, but in the even that I need to carry a bike somewhere...has anyone even tried putting some sort of bike rack on this car? One that won't damage anything of course. I won't risk the integrity of the car cus it's my baby.

Ok...laugh away...but let me know if someone's tried it.

Checked the Ford Accessory site. No rack for an '05 available.
Could you remove the handlebars and pedals, drop the rear seats, and slide it through the trunk?
This might get it home and let you know if you can transport it.

There are generic trunk mounted bike racks for sale at auto parts stores and such places. If you pay attention while shopping for one, I am sure you can find one that won't damage the car. I have used one on a Jag XKR, and had no marks or damage.
