Putting V8s into the FWD Impala and Monte Carlo is a direct response to the success of the Mustang and 300C. GM is hoping it's customers aren't smart enough to know they're FWD. Given the intelligence demonstrated in Holdaca1's first post in this thread, GM might not be off the mark too far.

Same thing goes with ne new Grand Prix, a V-8 in a FF car 
, give it time, soon the Malibu will have a V-8 and be about as peppy as my gas scooter. I swear they must have illegal immigrant engineers over @ GM. A 400hp GTO that couldn't beat a 300hp mustang!! :rotfl: :roftl2:
