Gift card - Steeda or American Muscle?

hey guys, just wanted to get your opinions here. For my birthday I am asking my parents for a gift card to either Steeda or American Muscle. I've never bought anything from either site because I haven't modded my 2013 GT yet. I'm looking to use the gift card for some suspension upgrades... Likely lower control arm relocation brackets and a lowering kit. Which site should I choose from? Where will the money go the furthest? Thanks!

I haven't delt with Steeda, but I'm sure they are a good company. I have bought from American Muscle, and each time things went smoothly. I would suggest checking each web site, fill the cart with what you want, and whichever is cheapest that's the card I would ask for.

BTW, you can contact "AMDanBailer" the AM rep. on the forum, and he will send you a 6% discount code for the entire purchase. The code never expires. That could make a significant difference.

oh wow, I just noticed American Muscle sells Steeda parts haha. I guess American Muscle would be the way to go. Unless Steeda has better discounts...

You really can't go wrong! We would love to have your business and friendship. Like you listed above, we do offer Steeda products and do our best to offer them at the lowest price possible! We do offer a 6% forums exclusive discount as well.. Last but not least, we do offer price matching!

What are your plans for the car? We can definitely help you out and make sure you're in good hands! I look forward to hearing more about your build.

-Dan

Thanks Dan! I ended up going with American Muscle since you guys sell Steeda parts anyway.
My #1 plan is to fix the insane wheel hop I have. I'm not sure if I should get upper or lower control arms first. The wheel hop is really bad when the tires are cold and happens even at half throttle acceleration. But I also want to lower the car and I've heard lowering springs with aftermarket shocks/struts can fix wheel hop too. So I'm thinking I might just lower the car and if I still have the issue, get control arms and relocation brackets after.

If Dan doesn't happen to see this post, send him a PM. He has been very helpful when I needed answers.

If wheel hop is your issue, then a pair of LCA's should be your first mod then. I had wheel hop and my aftermarket LCA's solved my wheel hop issue. Purchased them from AM because they are awesome.

Since your wanting to lower the car, you should get adjustable LCA's

Not every car is the same ... some customers get the UCA & their wheel hop is gone ... others get LCA's & same thing ... wheel hop gone. Some have had to get both.

The LCA's will definitely help put the power to the ground.

Best Regards,

TJ
