Funny story at Dealer today ... Key's locked in car
I was at dealer today for almost two hours working out my trade deal and price on a 2012 special order.
Sales guy drives my car over to the used car building so they can check it out. 10 minutes later he comes back over to new sales and asks me if I have a spare key. I say yeah ..all the original factory keys are at my house.
Well .. turns out they locked the key in my car ... and it was still running! So we go inside for like an hour going back and forth on the deal. In the meantime the service department is supposed to be cutting a valet key so they can get into car.
The hour passes and we walk over to the used car lot and my car is still Running and still locked! They had put a large fan in front of the grill to keep it cool. They cut two valet keys from the VIN and none of them worked. SO now another 15 minutes go by and a locksmith they called shows up ...
Locksmith charges the dealer $190 to open the door .. and it takes 2 minutes to open it .... LOL .....
And they didn't reimburse me for gas! SOB ....
