Ah, the question nobody asked and someone regretibly answered.

I suppose now though if ever I win the lottery I will be forced to get a 5.8 GT500 motor and drop it in a Gallardo.

Also need to find a 69 ZL1 and put a 427 cammer or Boss 429 along with a tremec and 9 inch in it.

Probably be more reliable to boot.

An admirable goal, but this is a matter of revenge for me. There are to many LSx or SBC powered fox cars going around for me to let that slight go. I even knew a guy who had the unmitigated gall to put a 400 SBC in a 69 Mach... heresy of the greatest magnitude. Luckily that abomination had a short life.
