First Payment!
Good Morning,
Just made the first payment on my Mustang that I purchased on Black Friday. Oddly enough, I enjoyed it. lol 59 to go!
Love this site and seeing everyone's cars. I am so hooked.
Happy New Year,
Chris

Thanks. 2.9. I got a good deal though. Paid invoice then got another $2500 off because of incentives.

nice!! i love those incentives.. basically pays off all the tax, or viewed differently, makes the price of the car itself waaay lower than invoice all things considered.

Only 59 to go! You sure have a good sense of humor and optimism. Sounds like you scored a decent deal.
Here's something that will make you appreciate your deal even more. Way back when, I bought my first ever new car, a 1982 Mustang GT with a sticker of $9,616. I was lucky to get a loan at 13% interest. I had excellent credit and the loan was through Ford. Yes, that was a good deal. How times change.

When I bought my 87 I took a passbook loan at 7%.LOL
Passbook loans for those who dont know are loans where you leave the money you want to borrow locked up in your bank account and borrow against it. You do this to establish credit. Yup original window sticker.
I wonder if that car is still around today. My other car bought new lasted two weeks after I sold it.The guy I sold it to's wife totaled it.LOL

midlife-stranger, that's cool that you have your window sticker. I have all of mine too. I made color copies for the new owners when I sold.
cdiaz1069, not only that high interest for my GT, but the same for our first home. On the plus side we had a $500 CD that earned 15.55% interest. I remember the retirees that lived around us living real well on their savings. If someone had saved $100,000 they could earn $15,000 a year. Serious money back in the early 80's. Today a 2% CD is doing real well.

Money was expensive back then, but it bought a lot more. Hmm.
Just paid off our 09 a month ago, its a good feeling- and just in time to help offset the obamacrap insurance increases...
