4. 1965 Pre-GT GT Convertible, 2 barrell, Automatic, Pony Interior. That was my Dad's and it was weird, but fun.

These last three I've had myself:

3. 1986 Mustang SVO, Black with Grey interior. Fun, but 'spensive. Blew up at 75K. Nice.

2. 1978 Mustang II, Orange with Tan Sheepskin, German V6, 4 speed, 4 spoke "Magnums" or whatever they were called. Piece of junk in the shop EVERY 3 weeks, but man, it was ORANGE.

And my number one favorite Mustang:
1. 1966 200 Sprint 6 Automatic Mustang Coupe, 1988 Oxford White, 88 GT Red Tweed Seats Front and Rear with folding rear installed, 1966 T-Code Red engine compartment and engine, White air cleaner, alternator, etc, retaped with Red Electrical tape wiring harness. Dual Bass Cannons on a AM/FM Cassette radio with dual speakers in dash, dual 6x9s in back. Hand Vinyled interior in Red, including Doors, Quarter Panel Trim, Dash, and Steering Column. Woodgrain orignal repro steering wheel. 1967 Gas tank, custom gas filler and cover, which made for a nice flat trunk, red carpet in trunk through to the fold downs, windlaced fold out area. Carpet curtains for bass cannons. 15x8 aluminum 5 spoke wheels with BFG Touring T/As. 65 grille, offset small pony emblem, no other emblems on car. Oh, and 1978 T-Bird Roof Lamp/Map light, AND power antenna.

This won a special award at the '93 (I think. I'm not good at dates.) Waco Mini-Nationals, the Jeff Lea Memorial award. I was kinda surprised, as there were somewhere around 600 cars there, so for mine to get that award was very special to me. It also won a couple of awards here and there.

Not too shabby for a backyard resto and paint project, eh? Dang but I miss that car.

Last I heard it was wrecked. Oh well, when I win the lottery I will get another and do it the same. Well, maybe newer seats... Oh, and maybe a V8.

Now, not on the list yet is the 2005 Mustang GT, 5 speed, White with cloth Red seats (Please be avail that way!), wing delete, V6 grille (fog lamp delete), Hallibrand Knock Offs. If that means 16", so be it. :bang: Some lucky V6 owner is gonna get 18s.

I'm partial to my girlfriend's 2000 base-model, and my ex-girlfriend's grandfather's red '69 vert. Seeing as those are the only two I've ever driven.

I was going through my old posts and dug up this thread (18 months ago).

I've noticed that my tastes have changed just a little in the intevening months. Before, I rated the 69 style higher. Now I find I like the 70 look a little better.

I would now rate them as follows (just the top 5):

1. 1970 Mach 1 (Grabber Blue) with 428 Super Cobra Jet and Shaker
2. 1966 Shelby GT-350 (White with Blue stripes)
3. 1970 Boss 302 (Grabber Blue - see below) with shaker
4. 1969 GT (gulfstream aquac color below)) with 428 Super Cobra Jet and Shaker and blacked out hood
5. 1969 Boss 302 (gulfstream aqua). too bad you couldn't get it with a shaker in 69
