I love the latest generation Mach1's in black. Found this one on mach1 registry.

During my senior year of high school [1966-67] I was introduced to this sweet little blond who fell in love with my black 66 Le Mans coupe with the overhead cam 'six' and the manual transmission. The next day i went to pick her up and she said to drive around and go up the back alley as she needed her sunglasses in her car. As we got to the back of her house there was a light blue 65 Mustang with all of 3000 miles on it. It was hers it was love at first sight [both the car and the girl]. I said "Let's take your car today instead". She couldn;t understand all the fuss. What a sweet ride. We lasted about a year and a half until i went to Vietnam.

Flash Forward. I attended one of the car auctions a few years ago as Used Car Manager stsnd in. Soon up on the blocks came a light blue 65 Mustang Coupe. It was flashback time and it seemed like time stood still. I bought the car for my then 15 year old daughter. My had no idea why I smiled whenever I looked at the car.

There have been many Mustangs over the years that I thoroughly enjoyed and loved but none matched that 65 and the summer of '67!
