Emissions test fail
Need help, my 2007 mustang can't pass emissions it's got a throttle spacer, air raid intake, and diablo tune to performance. Is there any way to pass without going back to factory, or what's the least that I would need to do?

How much driving have you done since you installed the tune? If it is just a plug in OBDII test then it is looking to check for codes and readiness monitors. Do you have a check engine light? The tune may have also disabled your rear o2 sensors. If that it the case then you will have to get a new tune with them enabled. With them disabled the readiness monitors for them will never go to ready status causing the failed emissions test.
Why did they say the car failed? Did they give any paperwork or anything? Does it state anything specific?

I live in Illnois also. It is an OBDII test.
If you have a custom tune contact your tuner and have them give you a tune that has the O2 sensors turned on. That is what I had to do.
If you do not have a custom tune or tuner you can work with then it might be eaiser for you to put the factory airbox back on and return the cars' tune to stock so you can pass the test. Then switch it back afterwards.
Like 07S197 said, they should have given you a sheet stating what was not right. It should list the sensors/parameters they test for and show either ready or not ready.
If it shows the O2 sensors as not ready then they need to be turned on.Also, make sure you drive a complete drive cycle before going in. It describes in the owners manual what is needed, so many minutes at highway speed & so many minutes city driving.

That's OK, I don't like U2! LOL J/K
Seriously, you probably just need to get the tune corrected to turn the O2 sensors on and drive it for a while and you should be ok. That's what happened with mine and I've passed twice now with a supercharger & custom tune.
If you know anyone with a scan tool similar as this:
http://www.actron.com/product_detail.php?pid=16362
they can hook it up and tell you if all parameters are ready before you go test. I have a mechanic friend who hooked mine up before I went in so I was confident I was OK.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the diablo tuners.
I have an old SCT Xcal II. It hold 3 tunes plus the stock tune and I keep my extra tunes saved on a disc.
