Drove the GT for the first time in over 6 months... got a cigarette burn

I finally got the chance to drive my GT in over 6 months. As I'm driving home, not even tailgating the ***** in front of me, she sticks out a cigarette and tosses it out the window. I do my best to avoid it, but it dances around on the ground and I drive "over it". I come home and see the burn marks on the thermoplastic front fascia. Great, some soccer mom's addiction to nicotine causes minor damage to my bumper, one where I have tried to keep it in pristine shape. I've noticed a large trend, at least in SE MI, where smokers just toss their lit cigarettes out the window. The first time my Mustang got hit was a year ago and it hit the gray plastic grille scoop and it didn't leave any permanent marks. Needless to say I'm rather peeved.

That sucks. Last summer on my bike I was slowing for a red light in the left lane when some broad in the right late flicks a butt out her window. **** thing hit my jacket and landed in my lap. Light quickly turned green and I caught up to her and threw the thing back in her car while leaving her with a few expletives she's probably still trying to figure out what they meant. .... Scratch that, she's probably been called them before.

My GT's got a nasty scar on the rear bumper and now the front bumper doesn't look so hot. I wish Ford went back to urethane bumpers. Those could take a beating and still look new.

I had just washed my car. Later in the day, I was doing 120 on a private road (and lemme tell ya, she's a SMOOTH car at 120...) anyway, apparently two bugs decide to wander across my path, and one hits the windshield. SPLAT, big ol' gutmarks.

Wipers, sprayers... Dangit, it was just washed...

Oh, but remember, I said two, right? Well, that other one impacted my bumper, and boy he/she/it was really messy. MAN. I hate when that happens.

/just sayin... life sucks like that. Sympathize with the cigarette burn... helluva cigarette, though, to actually leave a mark...

It actually left several pits in the bumper from melting the TPO material. I will try to take a pic before I apply some touch up paint.

The edge looks scuffed but that is just a weird reflection. The front bumper is pristine - I used Klasse from the day the car arrived from Flat Rock - except for the burns from the cigarette:

It was just how the cigarette smacked into the bumper at speed. It looked like it hit the side of the cigarette, and the cherry splattered all over the bumper.
