Say I was just wondering, do any of the new cars still have that automatic door locker thing that locks the doors when you put it in gear? Luckily my mustang doesn't but my mother's car does and my dad stated that he hates it because of it. I was just asking do people still put that on cars or did they stop?

It's on my 05 V-6. It doesn't lock them till you hit 5 miles an hour I think. It doesn't do it when you shift from park, only when rolling.

Yea ok, I understand that is a safty feature but to us it's a annoyance. My dad was trying to clean out my moms Tarus and every time he moved it the doors would lock. He was cleaning it so we can sell..

Automatics have that feature, manual cars don't. It is possible to turn the feature off too, instructions are in the owners manual.
