Do you rest the heel of your left foot on the floormat/carpet or do you pick it up to work the clutch pedal and then place it back down somewhere?

I've always rested my right heel on the floormat to reduce fatique.

??? I've been driving manuals for over thirty years and I've never had "fatigue".
My first manual didn't have one of them there sissy hydraulic systems, just a lever and a spring.

I rest my right heel (as in the right foot) to reduce fatique since I have to frequently switch between the brake and the gas pedal. It just feels natural to me and i've worn holes into carpeted floormats.

I wasn't sure what everyone else does with their left foot.
