2 miles per gallon..thats about 30 miles per tank....that's a long walk to the gas station ...if I see you walking with your gas can, I'll give you a ride.

I enjoy a well done version of either engine. The only thing I don't think you can compare is the amazing noise of an 8.

Depends on how you drive. I know V6'ers that get 18 around town, 19-20 around town is my average. Though picking a car based on 2 miles per gallon is silly.

I hear ya there.. But I can vouch that my V6 sounds pretty throaty with pypes headers and a magnaflow dual 3" exhaust, intake, throttle body, and 93 octane race tune.

I still think that sound wise.. The "new edge" body style mustangs with a V8 have the loudest exhaust note.

Gas mileage?! Gas mileage?! You wanna talk about gas mileage?! Ha! Im fortunate enough that my mustang isnt a DD. At one point all my cars were gulping 93 octane. I keep my mustang on a 93 octane tune.. But thankfully my expedition isn't picky with regular fuel.

Unfortunately it goes like this. "Cool what car do you drive?" "A mustang!" "Is it the GT?" "No" "why didnt you get the GT?". That's what I got when I had my v6 anyway.

I'd just brush it off. There's always a car better.
But I hear ya.

I love the sound of the V8 exhaust when I hear one accelerating away from a light, but I owned a Morgan and love road trips and found that living with the exhaust noise could be very tiring. I am selling my S2000 and have ordered a 2014 V6 premium convertible with automatic. I'm pushing 73 and I'm still slim and wear a speedo style swim suit (I hate those baggy trunks) and carry all my stuff in a man's shoulder carry-all bag and if there are folks who disapprove it's just too bloody bad. It will be nice if other Mustang owners accept my choices of V6 and automatic, but for those who don't, that will be their problem.

A V8 does so much more and sounds so much better - with a 90* crank that is.

I've owned mostly 6's or high revving 4's over the years but when it came to Mustang, I'd always pay more for the power and the melody of an American Ford V8.

You can get a 6 or a hot 4 as your other car.

As to the OP, I don't care what other owners do.
