Thanks Sampey! I fell in love with the Sterling Grey color and the silver stripes when I saw the 2010 GT500 in that combination. These stripes packages just seemed a perfect compliment and kept it unique. The '13 will look awesome, especially a GT done the same way. I will warn you silver stripes are a pain and have longevity issues which is why Ford discontinued the stripe color. Black was my second choice and would look equally good and easier to maintain. Let me know what you buy, rag top or coupe, it will be AWESOME!

Ok, i think i got my mind set on a 2013 sterling grey vert, with the saddle leather seat. Just something about that combo that looks sweet as hell

Sounds like a nice combo. Try pricing at Cazenave Ford in Vacherie. Most of the locals have been ordering from them. Their prices are supposed to be great.

My previous Mustang was a 2001 GT convertible. The top was a proper fit and there were never any leaks.

Other than the fun of having the top down, the convertible gives owners the option to haul large items that would never fit into the coupe. I put the top down, throw an old blanket over the back seat, make a run to the garden center at home depot, and can buy bags of topsoil, shrubs, etc. and not have to struggle with fitting them in the small trunk. I do the same thing when I need to take my bike somewhere.

Tomorrow I'm taking delivery of a new 2012 GT convertible. I'm stoked!

I have the top down every kinda-sorta reasonable opportunity I get, so the top has had quite a workout over the years. Still seals tight and no difficulties.

I do the same thing! LOL! I bought large floor speakers for my home theater a few years ago and ended up having to put the top down and load them in standing up... With my light bar, it made a perfect brace to keep them in place! It didn't look the best, but I was able to get them home! LOL!

Does this mean we won't need the F-150?

Depends on what you need to haul... If you're needing to haul garbage to the dump, I'd want the truck...

Dude,

The issue was decided with the first five words of your second sentence, "my wife wants a vert". Rule number one of marital bliss is to seek compromise: You get a 'stang GT (a friggin' awesome car in any iteration), she gets the option to lower the top on nice days and get the wind in the hair experience.

WIN-WIN!!!

I actually hadn't considered the hauling capabilities on the vert. We have the F-150 for our travel trailer and an 07 Focus wagon is my daily driver. Because Ford no longer offers a smallish wagon I will keep the Focus as long as possible! The vert is just for summer fun.
