cleaning glass... best product?

whats the best glass cleaner out there? There is so many that I have tried that leave streaking and some that leave the glass dirty. what are people using? also does rain-x help to keep glass clean or does it just repel rain water? last time I used it (years ago) I didnt like that it made the wipers skip and removing the product was a PITA. suggestions? I'm sick of cleaning the glass and have the kids put thier hands all over it a minute later. cant keep the kids in the trunk so don't go there

I've tried about 50 different kinds of glass cleaners (i clean windows for a living). The best I've found so far is the Shaklee brand cleaner. It's a mix with almost all water so there's absolutely no streaks. It's pretty amazing.

I use Invisible Glass and the spray-away stuff in the pic below and they both leave a little to be desired ... they both leave some streaking unless I really work at getting it off the windows ...

My dad used to use that when he worked at a BMW dealership. It worked just as good as Stoner's Invisible Glass IMO.

The best thing I have found by far is the same quick detailer. I use on the car. I've used Meguiars, Mothers California gold and Adams quick detail spray...all with a micro fiber cloth. No streaks, no smudges and if you get overspray on your paint just wipe it off. For the interior on tinted windows test a small spot first.....but I've never had a problem with the tint.

From New England. We had a product called clear vu. Made by Lawrence plate glass in Lawrence ma. It got so popular, that turtle wax bought the name and recipe. You guessed it, they weren't happy with national sales, so they shut it down. I was able to buy enough to last me a lifetime. On ebay, it was selling for quadruple what it used to. You suck Turtle wax.

I hear ya on how much work it takes to get them clean and streak free. If I dont go over it a couple times, I can tell that it didnt remove that hazy film that builds up on the inside.

I also ended up buying their (invisible glass) reach and clean tool which helps for the long rear window. I use the microfiber cloth to "polish" the windows, after I've clean with another cloth, and it seems to help get them clear.
