CAR COVER for 2012 convertible.. who makes a good one

I'm looking for a car cover for my wifes 2012 convertible. we are putting it away for the winter in my garage. I want a quality cover.
I went on eBay and saw a 5 layer cover for $50.00 plus some shipping cost made by Auto Armour. Being skeptical, I did a search on You Tube for Auto Armour car covers. I can't believe what I saw. Quite a few videos of Auto Armour car covers that literally were ripped to shreds in 6 weeks....so.... those are off the list..

Any suggestions without spending $300 on a cover

cheers

auto covers

An auto cover that will be used in a garage should not be used to protect a car that will sit outside in wind/rain/snow.
If the car is in a garage, you want to protect the paint, etc., from collecting dust/dirt and breathable to release any condensation. Outside, the cover has to be robust enough to keep from shifting on the paint surface, strong enough to keep the material from tearing in the wind, and breathable so that moisture can escape from beneath the cover.
A 'cheap' garage cover may be all that your new car needs if the car is protected from the outside environment.

Car covers can do more harm than good sometimes. If the car isn't really clean before putting the cover on, you could put swirls or light scratches in the paint by wrestling a cover on top of it. I'd just let the thing sit uncovered, especially if its in a garage all winter, and then wash it when you take it out in the spring. Unless of course the car is sitting in front of a large window where sunlight could possibly affect it. Or if the garage door is left open for extended periods of time.

Costco online. I've ordered them for Bullitt and one for my winter car and they are a great fit. Made by CoverKing, water resistant and breathable, great price.

Agreed. I never put a cover on unless I have just washed the car. And I cover it during winter storage in the garage also.
