Blue-VS- Silver Coil Covers On 5.0 Mustang From The Factory.

I would like to know if there was/is a differance between the engines that came in our cars from the factory. I have the brembo package on my 2011 5.0 and my engine has silver coil covers on it. But I remember that I test drove a GT that had Blue covers on it is there any differance between the two engines? other than just the color?. I have not seen any threads that cover this topic. If this was covered before sorry in advance. Just wondered if there was any performance differance between them or was it just some thing that differs a normal GT from one that had the Brembo package. Thanks in advance for the info.

Silver coil covers are what Ford puts on the standard 5.0

The blue ones are on the Boss302 engine, but they're available fairly cheaply from vendors.

I have the blue ones on my car ...

"production variances" ? lol

Maybe they were putting blue on some engines during a certain production time frame, then they decided to keep the blue for the Boss engines ...

Was the car with the blue covers a used car?

No brand spanking new. Thats why I thought that it may have been something differant like maybe a factory one off. All I know is they were in no hurry to sell it. It was as if the car was not for sale even thou it had the factory window tags and all of that stuff. As I said that was the first time I had seen these cars with blue covers. It was the first and last time Ive seen a 5.0 GT with the blue covers. Maybe it was a black opp thing.
