Blizzard coming
Blizzard warning issued for tomorrow here in Indiana. Mustangs are safely tucked tucked away, & snow blower is at the ready!

I survived the Blizzard of '78. I'm not too worried about this one... although I'm NOT looking forward to it. Glad I'm not in Hancock Co. though! Good luck, you guys. Check in tomorrow, OK?

Almost 6:30 AM & it's just starting. Not much snow on the ground yet, but REAL windy. Both the wife & I's offices are closed, so we're not going anywhere.
I was in the Blizzard of '78 as well. I was a senior in HS, snowed in for 3 days at a bowling alley I worked at. They opened the bar & restaurant, & we ate, drank, & bowled for 3 days!

Hey, Errett, I just went out to Walmart & picked up some things. All I'll say is I've driven in a LOT worse conditions. (Of course, I was stationed in Maine twice!) I haven't been out on the highways, but Greenfield streets are very passable.

our 09 is safe inside under its shelby cover, still undriven, the wifes 07 is in her garage probably till spring, my beloved 06 is buried in snow right now...it sits out most of the time, only goes in if chance of hail/thunderstorms, and has never been out in salt...if we get a decent rain/warmup, I drive it yearround, long as no chance of salt...underneath still looks new, wipe it down underneath at oilchange times...
they are calling for 8-12 here today, put the plow on the tractor this morning, ready to head out in a few... not a fan of winter.
anyone that drives these things in the snow, be careful...I drove my markVII yearround, similar weight/wheelbase, that car sucked in any snow at all, imagine the mustang would be even worse with a stick... some cars require a LOT of extra care on the slick roads, the mark VII was the worst Ive ever driven. heck, my stickshift 8' F150 was fun in the snow, could slide all 22 feet of that thing around effortlessly, and in 'careful' driving, never had a problem...that darn Mark would swap ends in the blink of an eye- mostly due to its horrid turning circle putting you on the stops early- it was really a dangerous car in snow. I got a big old marquis for a winter beater, it is a tank in the snow, even with somewhat wider tires...the wife drives her avalanche, it is also great in the snow, TCS in it makes even intentional sliding nearly impossible- kudos to GM on that ABS system

I hope we get some snow here in Milwaukee ... cause so far we got none.
I've been waiting for the excuse to take F-150 out of the garage ...

Didn't make for a blizzard in my book-- heavy snowstorm, maybe; we got like half a foot or so. I think the TV news crews tend to overstress these events just to create viewership, and of course the retailers love the prospect of selling out of bread, milk, cigarettes, beer, snow shovels, etc. etc. Good to note that none of you guys seemed to have any serious repercussions from the weather.

That's some seriously deep snow Cdynaco, and you can keep it , I dont want any part of that.
I was measuring 10-12 in the drive, that was enough for me.
