Battery light still on

Hello everyone... Recently I was driving my 05 mustang and all the electrical just shut off... It made it home considering I was only a couple blocks away but once I got home it wouldn't turn back on.. I took it to my mechanic and he told me I needed a new alternator so I got that replaced... I also got a new battery because I had been meaning to get a new one. The car ran fine for a couple days then I noticed that the rpm would drop under 500 when I turned on the car and almost felt like the car would stall. And now just yesterday the battery light turned on so I don't know if it's the sensor acting up because of the new alternator or could it be something else... Anybody have a similar problem?

Agreed. Still sounds like a bad alternator. Did you change the battery and the alternator at the same time? They'll end up killilng each other, if not replaced together.
