Barn Find: Boss 429

Barn finds. We all hope to have one at some point in our lives. Something worth saving. Something worth owning. Something, that’s worth a metric ton of cash that we could pick up for a fiver. Sadly, though, that most likely won’t happen. We can scour all the backwoods, backroads and hillbilly shacks we come across and it’s never likely to happen.

The muscle car market may be soft, but from what I see on the 'net, Mecum, and other sources, survivor cars, especially significant ones, are bringing in serious money. In some cases they seem to be more valuable than their restored counterparts.

It's only original once.

Very few barn finds here in the Houston area anymore. When there is its usually something worth a lot.

Doesn't happen a lot... but you hear of such discoveries often enough to keep your interest piqued. There's a 1948 Indian Chief sitting out in my detached garage that I expect some slobberin' collector will "discover" one of these days.

She looks pretty good for sitting in a barn for 41 years.
