Prices at some places here are below $3.00 - by about .01 at the most.
If prices continue to trend downward, I think it will only last until late fall/winter arrives then prices will be influenced back upward by the demand for heating oil, unless the winter is mild. (But hey, I live on a tropical island, so what do I know about that? 
)
Down to $2.04.9 here in Cleveland, with my GetGo discount I paid $1.64.9 on Thursday.
