Anyone else notice the commercials for the Amazing Race on CBS where it looks like they will be racing Mustang 5.0s this week?

 

I saw it last night. Looks like I'll be watching the amazing race for the first time.

Also saw a commercial for Need for Speed "The Run". Looks like there was a GT500 in it.

 

I follow the amazing race since it started...with ford as a sponsor you get to see all the new fords in them....can't wait till they show the 5.0s

 

The Amazing Race is the best reality show on TV. No voting people out, no drama.


Yes, I saw the promo for it last Sunday after that episode. Looks like they have to do donuts!!

Missed it tonight due to uncooperative Christmas lights. Was it any good?

 

I watched it solely for that reason...saw a commercial Friday with them in it and watched that then turned it.

 

they have to accelerate to 100 then brake banking off to the right, then slalom and stop in a box at the end, and then do 2 or more donuts.

 

Eh that's nothing more than my average commute to work...so I didn't miss much. Were they auto or manual?

 

Premium autos.

 

I saw the episode, I actually missed out on Walking Dead for it (DVR'd it). It was indeed Premium Packaged Autos, some even had HIDs. The standard colors were represented: black, silver, white, red. The first place racer got to sit in the passenger seat while a professional driver threw the Mustang around the road, accelerating, braking, drifting corners, etc.

The drivers challenge was they had to accelerate the car from 0-100 and then brake in a curve. After that they had to do a slalom and stop in a box without hitting the dummy balloon i under like 16 seconds I think? After that they had to do 2 victory donuts.

It was really fun to see, and the first time i'd ever watched the show.

 

Are you sure they were Premiums? On some of the interior shots, it looked liked they had the base steering wheels, not the leather Premium ones....

 

I thought I saw cloth seats....

Anyways.... The winners of the leg of the race BOTH were awarded new Mustangs! So jealous!!!
