2013 Mustang GT a Lemon ????

Guys I am not writing to make a big issue out of this or criticize Ford I am new to MustangSource and like all of us we love our stangs, I am just wondering if any one has some tips in which they could help me make the process of buy back simpler and hassle free, let me reframe less of a hassle. To make a long story short I have a 2013 mustang gt Brembo that ever since I bought it I was hearing noices from first speed bump in the suspension, second apparently non repairable differential leaks, door handles driver side intermittently failing, radio controls fails, plus to add just noticed paint defects in front bumper. Evidently it is a 33,000 $ car and my baby pampered all day long so I would take her to the dealer they would assure me all is fine and that all was repaired, of course it wasn't the case, it happens to be I am an Auto Center Manager and I have access to lifts and a week later after repairs the leak would return, I repeated same process three times. Btw the leak is the biggest issue with it. Now I am concerned because I have a two year old daughter and a 9 years old and recently because of a leaking diff on my dads truck the axle came off flying with the wheel , also happens to be a ford. I am not going to attack the tranny behind noisy issue ext.... Because I don't care I know mustangs are rough around edges and hey it shifts good knock on wood, just hard and sometimes gets her period lol..... Well I already sent the defect notification letter first one, but I don't want a repair I love this car but just don't trust her and I don't enjoy being in it not safe or secure, so I asked for exchange and my Roush and Ford Racing parts, totaling 1500 I don't even want no reimbursement for days out of vehicle, just exchange, I am not looking to get rid of loan or nothing like that like many would think.... Guys I am poor like many of us but I work hard to get what I want. Btw the possibility of trade in is out of question had a 2011 which I did a trade and lost money, also because of a defective coyote engine but I was dum and I didn't follow. enough is enough I am pretty sure corporations have more mula mula than me. And like in retail if something is defective or broken you have the right for exchange. I will post pics of it so you can see what I mean by she's my baby!!!. This is purely for safety and to be honest the dealer just keeps replacing parts with no clue. Yes guys I know there is a TSB for Vent ( all done ) and that 8.8 differentials are prone to leaks. Nop doesn't work for me for a vehicle that cost 33,000$ plus tax and interest lol i expect an immaculate car till the third year at least. I personally don't want to go to arbitration nor involve BBB I just want it to be resolved passively and directly with Ford. Short story ehh!!! If any of you guys have been in this situation can you please let me know how did it go for you or what you guys do the get through them with more ease

Thank you

P.S. I have many mustangs and not planning on stopping from behing one...

sounds like you need to go to a different dealer and have them look into the cars issues.

It's not all that bad young man. The noise going over the speed bumps is the over the speed bumps are the lower control arm bushings. There is a TSB out that will take care of that problem. It worked for mine. Differential leaks can be fixed, it's BS the service dept. said they couldn't. The door pull needs a new latch assembly, just like mine did. Fixed that problem. Sorry I can't help you with the radio control *****, but that can be fixed also. The paint is an easy fix too. As posted, contact Deysha here. She'll get you the help you need.

I know it's a bit frustrating when you have problems with a new car. But, your not along. Hang tight, it can be fixed. Mine wasn't perfect, but it is now. Good luck.

Update

I was just In dealer today again after having another chat with the manager we lifted vehicle quickly and he replaced the axle vent with a police crown Vic's one, he cleaned it well and said they to check back by Friday and see if leaking again. Question what does the TSB consists of because the tech that did it said no parts were involved that they only had to put some silicone or sealant if I recall right in the vent??? I really like my car but I don't want it to keep breaking on also today I was making a U turn and it made a weird noise like a dog whining when they want something lol but true, I am not 100 on that one since I couldn't duplicate a 2nd time right after. He also said paint little bubbles are probably a defect from factory.. I will take to body shop for a second opinion since seems to me like it has touch up paint on it.

Btw will a ford racing rear end cover fix that leak that problem how about that rerouting or bypass with a tube???? I forgot to mention before the ford manager said if the leak doesn't stop he suspects which even for me is weird it maybe coming from axle tube tum tum tum........ Lol that may involve an axle and I want all original

Welcome, El_Tali! Please PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name and best daytime number and I’ll get this escalated to the customer service manager for your area and have it reviewed.

Yeah I am guessing its a dealer issue as well, my question is this: I don't think this is the first time they deal with a mustang..... The problems with my stand just keep surging non stop let me note them all so you can understand me ; first twice replaced FR lower control arm, second rear axle leaks were they replaced twice pinion seals and did vent TSB and last time number 4 they replace vent again with a crown Vic's one, third paint bubbles and some seem to have been paint touched, fourth door handle intermittently inoperative, fifth issues with radio controls, sixth I was making u turn yesterday and a noise came from rear right tire kinda of a dog whining its a coincidence I was making a left u turn and weight shifted that side, seventh even tech mentioned that when he was driving it he notice a weird whine after you let go of pedal and car decelerates slowly above 2500 rpms I though it was a mustang hey rough around edges but I did notice it too and he confirmed it that I was hearing something wrong, so you see a lot of issues there were the car will spend 30 more days if not more to resolve if they don't say it's normal....

UPDATE!!!!!

I was washing y car and I noticed around hood pins my paint corroded or laminating, I took it to dealer they initially thought it may have been my fault but I told them that if prime is good shouldn't be the case, well to make long story short I opened the hood with them in dealer and guess what!!! My hood is corroding under it as we'll another known issue with mustang!!!!! Plus I have a video of the noise my rear differential makes while turning to the left from I guess LSD , it is leaking again btw from rear axle after a fourth attempt ( unofficial) by dealer, and I believe it's still making noise from lower control arm. I believe I picked up the worst one in lot I have until now most of the known issues as well as a wild whine from differential while letting foot off pedal at around 2500 rpms. Unbelievable!!!!! Can't enjoy a new freaking car!!! Lets see how it ends!!!!

Seriously! A Customer Service Rep is definitely needed on this. These Mustangs are Ford's Flagship, and they are built very well. This is NOT normal. I saw Deysha up there and I'm sure she can get this taken care of. You have a real pro up there that it is her job to fix this, and I'm sure she will. My saying has always been that the Mustang is the best car that was and is ever made. None of these are issues that cannot be fixed, and I'm sure they will be, or Ford will do what it takes to make is right. I've been a Ford man all my life and my Father owned Early V8 Fords since the time I can remember back to all the way until a few years before he died. I've been around them all my life, and the Mustang for me is the cream of the crop. It's been around almost 50 years, so just hang in there and don't loose faith. These are machines and sometimes they have defects, but there isn't a reason not to feel safe in it or not trust it. I hope your issues are resolved quickly and you get to drive the car and enjoy it for what it really is. Don't loose faith in her...she has a reputation that goes back 50 years to uphold and I know Ford WILL uphold that.
