Talking 2011 Mustang GT Vert or a 2010 GT500 vert(used)

Guys - I have been thinking about what car to buy sometime in the november/december timeframe later this year. The lease runs out on my current DD which is a 2008 maxima SE in Jan 2011.

I am thinking that a fully loaded 2010 Shelby GT500 vert will be in the low 40's (8k miles or less is what I would buy and stock, if I cannot find one stock with low miles then it wouldn't be considered) in november/dec/Jan 11 which is pretty close to what I will end up paying for a fully loaded '11GT vert. The sticker on the '11GT Vert is 44.5k

Both cars of course are very nice however the GT500 will be a lot easier to mod albeit it heavier.

I think I am leaning towards the Shelby just because of the power potential but it is a tough decision...

I wanted to throw this out there as a discussion topic in case anyone else might be in this situation.

I'd see what's out there. You might find a nice used 11 GT500 by then, maybe a lightly modded 10 or 11 GT. Who knows. If you're not looking to buy now, I'd wait to see what's available then. But I wouldn't kick a 10 GT500 out of my driveway...

I agree on the 11 GT500 since the 10's were done being built the first week of March. I would prefer to get it stock so I know all is well as I don't like buying a used car especially one like the GT500. If I wasn't starting up a side company I wouldn't mind paying for a new 11GT500 but I need to be a little frugal but like you said a lot of things change in the next 8 months or so when I do get ready.
