2011 Mustang GT Convertible Rocker Stripes
I bought this low mileage convertible last fall up in Pennsylvania. I’ve been ‘tweaking’ the car since then. I Installed new tires. Rebuilt driver electric front tilt seat gearing, Installed driver seat track extender, Installed new chrome lug nuts (without skins), Removed engine sound tube, Emptied master cylinder-bled brake system, Installed dual dashcams BLACKVIEW. Installed rearview backup cam (aftermarket),
I just added Shelby GT500 stripes (custom cut) rocker panel stripes, without the ‘500’ lettering.
I’m posting in case someone needs to see how ‘old school’ stripes look on the newer cars. I texted the guy at this stripe supplier with a picture of what I wanted. He cut it perfectly. I used the ‘Soap Water’ method to install these. I’ve always installed stripes this way over the years. No cursing, no bubbles, no errors. This method allows you to slide the stripe around to set it perfectly, before the squeegee permanently “sticks it”.
Hope you all like it. But it is old school. (and I’m old, lol) and it goes very well with my 2017 retro Candy Red Honda CB1100 EX, too. Retired and living it up while I still can.
Everyone always says POST pictures,

Thank for Posting! Nice Write up!
Stripes Look Great! Love the Red & I like The Chrome Wheels! my 07 GT/CS was Redfire!
Back in 05 I had A New Black Gt I was Going to Install Argent 05 Ford Gt Supercar Stripes on. Never Got Around To it. Also Experimented with Orange Pin Striping to Mimic My 02 F-150 Harley Truck. That was The Real Joy on the Sn-197's as They Could Be tailor Made to a Modern or Vintage Vibe! That Car Got to Wear a Lot of Prototype Parts from The Vendors I was Using. First Center Mount Fog Grille & Carroll Shelby Wheels to Name a Few!

Just a Thought. For Some More Old School Vibe, Some Powered by Ford Emblems under the 5.0 Might be Cool! The First One Shown is Kind of Big and May be a Bit Busy But the Second one Down are Pretty Small and Might be the Ticket if so Inclined.
I have a Set of the Smaller Ones I plan to put Under the Fender Cobra's on my Gt-500. It's Been My Experience on the Cheaper Emblems Like the Small ones to put some Clearcoat Paint on First so the Color's Last. The Bigger Ford Racing Brand are Fine as is. Anyhoo Just an Option I thought I would Share! Love The Colors of The Emblem! Almost Patriotic Colors!

Looks like you found a very well kept car, awesome find! The strips are a great addition to the car. That is a very sharp looking Stang, love the paint color and the interior color combo. Very nice car!
