Met up with a guy this evening who had a 2004 Mustang that he stated had the 2005 450HP engine installed in it. The guy got on it a little in front of me, and based on how quickly he was pulling away, I don't doubt he had something hot under the hood. The back end of the car was also modified, the exhaust not stock, and the paint job was like a red mystic. A real sharp looking car.

My question though is this, could this guy have gotten ahold of one of these engines from Ford? I know they sell a 450HP crate engine - maybe this is what he was referring to???

There is no 2005 Cobra, but it could have been anything I suppose. Navi motor with work, GT motor + blower, etc..

Hmmm... Should have stopped to think about that for a moment ;-) The guy must have been referring to the care motor would be my suspicion.

I don't think the 5.4 engine fits easily under the hood of the SN95 cars. The blower on top would require a 4" + higher hood to cover it. I don't know about the cammer engine.
