Hi all, I'm curious about fords thinking in respect to speedo max mph. My 1999 mustang with 260 horsepower had a max reading of 150 mph, my current 2007 gt with 40 more horsepower has a max reading of 140 mph. Any thoughts. Thanks

horse power and top speed have nothing to do with the speedo.

 

lol I had a friend in high school (a few years ago now) try and tell me his sister's "new" beetle was just as fast as my old SVT Focus.... because it's speedometer read up to 160mph.... I was like... Hi, i'm reality, what's your name?
