It's been almost a year since I'd traded in my 08 Bullitt for a 2012 Explorer that my wife drives, and now I get around in an 09 V6 Fusion. Anyways, I've been given the go ahead to get another mustang. I've always been a fan of the Terminator and can get one for around 20-22K. Then there's the new 5.0's. 2011/12 premium GT's with brembo's that are starting to pop up on autotrader for 27-29K. 07 GT500's are listing for 30k.

The new stang will be a daily driver and I've never driven the mentioned models. I'd like to say it will be my last mustang, but I've said that three other times.

What do you guys think?

I would go for the Termi or for the 5.0.

If you just want pure power and sound, go for the Cobra.

If you want a newer car, with great balance between looks, power, and driveability get the 5.0! It handles great.

 

Ive always loved the terminators so my vote would be for that. Also they had some great colors that are no longer available. Comp orange, sonic blue, mystic, they are so sweet

 

Go for the GT500. I own a terminator. If it was just a fun car, I would have said terminator all day long. Daily driver I would go with the Shelby. Much more comfortable car to drive, newer, more power than the other choices. Get the Shelby and never look back. The terminator is one of my favorite stangs of all time but I would have sold it a long time ago if I had to drive it every day.

 

No, it's an o7 so it has that crappy interior. I say the 11 GT is the way to go.

 

Yeah but if your car was bone stock it wouldn't be that bad of a DD. But your far from stock

 

It's more comfortable than the cobra seats though. And that 5.4 is just a way better engine than the GT motor.
Just doesn't ride as good as the 197 body though. And very unpredictable.

 

If its a daily driver then the 11 GT is the way to go (imo). I liked my previous 04 Mach 1 and had my heart set on an 04 Cobra when I sold it, but after driving an 11' 5.0L there was no going back.. The 11+ is MUCH more comfortable to drive especially on 2+ hour trips, and the potential of that car is amazing.

 

How are they unpredictable?
