Good to hear from you again! And glad to hear your hubby is improving after that accident

 

As this is a shiny new thread, thought I might pop my head over the parapet and say howdy to you all.

Hope this message reaches all the regulars in good health, and welcome to the members I have had no dealings with yet.

Not on much, the baby (well 15 month old now..) a house remodelling, and a new job have stripped me of all my posting time!

House remodeling takes me back to some ugly times, hope your experience is better than mine was.

 

He is literally so respected in his field (technology) and pretty well known here locally and in New York, that when openings come up they call him and offer him deals to move. He got a call just after his second surgery literally in his hospital bed. Then just before the 4th surgery he got his offer letter. His first day back to work he put his notice in, and he started with the new company yesterday.. LOL That boy is productive even when he is drugged with 4 different IV narcs.

 

His recovery is long and painful... He still is on Oxycontin and Percocet... they stopped his other drugs... They dont expect him to be walking without the assistance of crutches until sometime around the end of summer. He MIGHT recover enough that he doesnt limp, but they arent making any promises. I should post some pictures of the original injury, it was pretty scary. The motorcycle is hardly damaged... he actually got a look at it for the first time since the wreck last week, make him a little sick to his stomach...

He is at least recovering, and he has both legs still. He WILL walk again, and that is something we have to keep remembering. Its defintely an eye opener as to how much we take for granted every day!

 

Its quite the torture to turn out of here and see Hulk and not be on it. OR be coming home and see the dragons and not be on them. That should change tomorrow!

I don't do disney-I was born without a Disney Gene- I hate that place- ROYALLY. Especially the tower of terror at MGM and all of Epcot.

Oh and the sun may be out in Alabama- but its still F'in Cold there . It was 85 here today so Alabama can kiss my crack! I freaking LOVE Florida.
I also love the fact that they actually educate kids here too.

I come from Alabama- I know a little bit about Humidity. Only here the Atlantic is only 45 minutes and the Gulf is only 1.5 hours and the waterpark is less than 5 minutes from here. Did I mention how OVER JOYED I am to be out of Alabama? I think its snowing there or something unpleasant- I have my AC running here so Alabama's weather(and the rednecks from Snootyford) can KMMFC.
I discovered the Tourist Walmart- its clean. The grocery stores here-
The malls EVERYTHING here! Did I mention I adore Florida? Its what I have been missing in my life.
Also this house- WOW WOW WOW. I love it. It isn't a look at me Mcmansion like the one I am currently unloading. Its NORMAL. Brian and I are actually sleeping at night.
In the backyard- I discovered a secret paradise. I also love my palm tree. I don't even have to replant- this house came pre gardened!! I FREAKING LLLLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE this place!

PS= I fuggin Hate Disney. Its TEN PM! And their stupid fireworks are driving me mentally insane. Its far enough away I don't smell the disney stench, but close enough that I gotta hear their stupid magical fireworks.

Universal? Park closes, you go get drunk at margaritaville. Stupid disney has fireworks in the middle of the fugging night. Hmm Get drunk or pretend its July 4th- hard choice

I bought 6 Koi for my new tank. I got eculyptus, some vines.....
This house is TOO cool. It has a greenhouse off the kitchen and a relax porch off the dining room! I freaking love this house!!! Love this neighborhood, love everything so far.

10pm? That's 4 hours before I eat dinner... IoA, Tower of Terror, and Animal Kingdom didn't even exist the last time I was down there. It looks like I'm coming down sometime in 2008 tho. Gonna try to meet my friend in Gadsden sometime this year.

 

Hmm Apparently the weather got bad here last night. News to me. When it rains in Florida it doesn't screw around.

I remember when Universal had the psycho house where Portofino bay is now and Hard Rock was inside Universal.

Ahhhh I like getting actual sleep at night. I don't think I have slept in years!!

Ahh I see everyone in Bama is Just bitter because I jumped the fence and escaped!

 

Nah, its much more relaxing now.. knowing that there is one less neurotic stalker loose in the state is much more pleasing.
