If you want me to continue...
Sandy got her scratching posts today, and pretty much only liked the free sample of kitty treats. I think she needs to get used to them. I need to find a way to get her to scratch them, and not my old mustang seats.

She probably doesn't really know what they are for, so show her. Sit her in front of one, get behind her, and take her front paws and start scratching the post with them. She'll get it sooner or later, oh wait she's a cat - I mean when she's good and darn ready to! Those cardboard ones you put on the floor seem to work pretty good too.
Try covering your mustang seats with foil. Cats hate foil, might work long enough to get her out of the habit. Or put a sheet over them - a smooth surface is not very attractive to them to scratch on. Squirt guns are very effective too LOL!
Re: treats. Non of my cats have EVER liked treats, weirdos!!

I've tried the thing with putting her paws on it, and she didn't like it. And ya, she used to hate treats, but for some odd reason she liked them. Maybe I'll try the sheet, but she'll probably get mad at me and give me the look again.
