ok story time!!!!
last nite was Eid, an Islamic holiday, where they end their fasting and stuff. and we've been friends with this one family since my parents were way back in fiji, so they;re practicall like family so we went to visit last night, even tho we're not Muslim.
so i got to finally see my 'cousins' after like two years of... not. turns out all three of us have progressed in our searches for muscle cars. one of em now has a 97 metallic orange GT vert. supposedley one of only a few hundred with that combo. and man, on a N/A 2v he runs consistent 13s. but heres the kicker... he's got an 03 cobra motor and a 2.2L KB on the way!!!! he's working on strenthening the chassis and whatnot bfore it al gets here tho lol. and his triplet bro has a GT40 replica. he got a 4cyl porsche motor for it
but he's selling that to get some kind of V8. teehee i offered to sell him my 2.8L and RAD4 for about $300
their sister is of in college so she wasnt there, but it was alot of fun.
so basically we were up till like midnite talking about cars, the niners (YES! we're all niner fans lol), and airsofts.
it feels so great to see old friends u havent seen in a long time and catch up n stuff. just thought i'd throw in that lil story for ya's
and i cant wait to see that 97 GT get all its stuff done.... he's doing other stuff to it in addition to the 2.2L KB, like porting and polishing the heads, a full exhaust and a few other things. he crunched the numbers and siad he's looking at about 800rwhp
lol i told him, we gotta race when we're done... hehe and that he's got to let me drive it

Cool story...looks like you have some more work on the II to be done!
I think you need a twin turbo setup on that 5.0.
My friends twin turbo 94 Mustang puts down 700+rwhp and using a gps to see his speed he got it up to 202mph on the highway.

about my II, my uncle needs to let me bring the car in. he says not until he gets rid of the poopy mechanics, but he never lets me know. i ask him whenever i seehim, "can i bring my car in now?" but its always "later"
can you say frustrating?
and about TT, since im doing a "clevor" (clevleand top + windsor bottom) motor i dont really wnat to go past N/A. at least, not for a while. heck, im happy with a nearly bone stock 250hp 5.0! as soon as it gets in that is. cuz i really dislike my particular V6. takes foreeeeevvveeeerrrrr to start. major PITA, but that may be my fault, since i nary get a chance to start it n drive it around, cuz mom wont come with me, she cant drive stick, and my dad works..., alot
i do start it up once or twice a week though... is that good enough? i at least want ot make sure it'll make it down to the shop lol

Why are you going with Cleveland heads rather then some aluminum AFR heads? Price?
The AFR heads will flow better, maybe not so much on the intake side but exhaust side should be better then the clevelands. and they would weigh like half the clevelands.
edit
I just looked up the heads
cleveland2v 198cfm intake 162cfm exhaust
cleveland4v 270cfm intake 178cfm exhaust
AFR 165's 250cfm intake 191cfm exhaust
AFR 185's 282cfm intake 191cfm exhuast

originally i was going to do it, just becuase i like the idea of a boss style motor.
but as i've been seeing, maybe its not the way to go. especially after the stats u just posted.. plus ill bet that they'll be easier to fit in as well. and let me go for more options for headers (even tho there aint much room for those in aint much choice for that in a II anyhow.
--but-- i dont plan on usiung american cleveland heads, im aiming for some aluminum australian heads. dont have the stats on hand, but from what i hear they are some great head. Mustang Enthusiast had an article about the clevor a while ago, ill see if i can dig it up... cuz it had all the stats for various cleveland heads (theres like 9 types to choose from)
cuz ill bet ur right in the AFR alums being lighter than the old cast iron cleveland heads. and weight is NOT what i want in my II. but i dunno what it'll be compared to alum cleveland heads
in any case, i dont have money for anything more right now, and honestly i just want to get that motor in, and ill be happy for a loooooooong time
250hp is good enuff for arin.. until maybe after college hehe
