There are lots of free image manipulation programs around ie. irfanview. Get that and resize the images to 640x480 or 800x600 and you should be able to post them without problems.

Even easier way. Just use Paint. On start menu select programs, accessories then Paint. Once it is running open the picture you wish to resize, then go to Image, and Stretch/Skew. Simply adjust the boxes until it reaches the desired size. Just make sure the horizontal and vertical values stay the same numbers (starts at 100% for both, start with 75% (or whatever for both)). Of course save the picture with a new name so that you don't permanently shrink your original. After saving right click go to properties and see if the file size is small enough to fit.

If you are using Windows XP there is a plugin for picture resizing. You can get it from the Micro$oft web site along with all the other power toys. Once installed, all you have to do is right click the picture and in the pop up menu it adds an option to resize. All the standard sizes plus a custom setting that is user configurable.
