Please edit-in a "SOLD" to the top of the first post after the item sells

It's so freakin annoying to scroll or go through a multi-page for-sale thread just for the last post to have a "sold" in there.
Then people don't even see it and they blindly reply to the thread, bumping the thread back into the active threads, making us think that the item might still be available, then we go through the thread again, and the item's still sold.

It's so simple to edit-in a "SOLD" at the TOP of the opening post, without even adding to the thread posts, bumping it un-necessarily.

Maybe its changed since last time I tried, but I think there is a time limit on editing posts. You can only edit them within a few days after it was originally posted, after that it stays as is. but I could be wrong.. Mods?

Gabe,
I moved your comment to the Feedback section. I honestly don't understand why people don't delete their threads after they have sold the item. If people are bumping posts and we are informed of it, we simply delete their thread.

I understand your frustration, but I don't think it's really done on purpose. After someone sells something, they just don't care about it anymore and forget it. I just sold some stuff on Craigslist and forgot to delete the ads. It's no longer important, and people just forget.
