I have a question about someone editing my signature

I recently added a link for my pledges page for the Ride for Heart that I am participating in.
It's a huge charity here (and in the US I think) and I'm doing the Ride to raise money (also becuase I enjoy it). I put a small hyperlinked phrase in my signature and it's now gone.
No one pm'd me. and i read through the rules before i did it and it doens't say anything about this type of thing.
i'm confused. it's for a good cause, and i'm not being annoying about it.

EDIT - the forums were recently down - could this have something to do with it maybe??

Yeah, the downtime/data loss did it. I made some changes to my signature a few weeks back and noticed they were now gone too.
I don't think it was anything personal. Just re-edit your signature.

OK cool! I know the admins on the site are a very diligent bunch, which is cool, but I was a little shocked until I remembered about the downtime.
