I think the e-mail duplication and the forum slowness are inter-related. I'm looking at both and I'll report back here when we try a fix on the other issue.

 

Now that we have the load issue under control (Crosses Fingers), how's the "multiple" e-mail problem coming along?

Please help..It's getting worse. Tonite I had 11 emails and only 4 of them were different. This is the norm now

 

At this point vB is scratching their head and I've exhausted all that I know how to do. Their suggestion was to clear all of your subscriptions via the Admin panel and have you resubscribe to the threads via the Thread Tools dropdown.

My suggestion would we to unsubscribe the threads that give you multiple e-mails in your UserCP wait a day then resubscribe. Why should you wait a day? This is to let the maintenance jobs run the updaters to write database changes and rebuild indexes. Let me know what you're going to do and if you need my help clearing some of the threads.

 

O.K. now it's getting weird. I don't seem to be getting duplicates but i just now am receiving emails from posts from 2 days before. This has happened about 3 or 4 times this week already

I just checked my email and there were 2 emails from the 9th. I check my email about a hundred times a day so I know I didn't miss them before(these were 2 that I never read) The other post was 2 emails that I had received on the correct day but then received them again 2 days later. Just happened to check the thread about abbreviations in this section and noticed John replied to my question early this morning but it's not in my email.

 

**** Just got an email for the nine millionth mustang that I unsubcribed to from the ninth.
but I tried to unsubscribe again and it said no thread could be specified.
getting all emails over 24 hours later now

 

Same here. Except my email notification is shut off

I just cleared the mail queues just in case we had backed-up mail flows.

 

Just got one from the 11th!!!!!!! this morning. It was the "vote for the Mustang of the month"
today is the 17th BTW

 

O.K. Getting multi emails is one thing I can live w/,but when I get emails from 4 or five days when it was posted Sucks.

 

OK, I deleted all of my subscriptions and turned my instant email notification on. Starting from scratch. We'll see what happens, let the games begin

 

Please keep us updated because I'm stumped and vB is giving me the run-around.
