Better sub-forum organization for 2010+ section

This section is obviously busy, but one thing I notice is the constant repetition of information that people simply fail to search for. If it's not in the main forum and on the main page, then they have to search for it. Or, subsequently, if it's in one of the few sub-forums, but not on the main page, people miss it as well.

My suggestion is to look into adding sub-forums to get rid of the ridiculous amount of reposting and rehashing of ideas, and streamline things. I would take a look at this setup as a good starting point.

It consists of more sub-forums, but it keeps the information where it needs to be. If someone wants to talk about engine parts, they go in the engine forum. If they want to talk about interior stuff, it goes in there, and on and on. The main forum is rarely ever used, and it's usually ad bots or really new members who don't know how to classify info who post in there, and it's quickly moved by a mod to the appropriate section.

I know I share the feelings of some members over there who feel that we're constantly pointing people to existing threads, and the reasonable threads that need more exposure get pushed to the wayside. You could start by trying it in the 2010+ section, and if it works well, expand it to other areas as you see fit.

Well we have set hte subforums up in the 2010 section the same or real close to how it was done in the 2005+ section, which has worked very well. It takes people adopting the practice of using them and not just posting into the main forum for that model year. We move as many threads as we can but theres only so many hours in the day. And when we do, of course we hear the

I understand. That's why I figured I'd throw something new into the mix. Sometimes a fresh look on things doesn't hurt.

That particular sub-forum setup took a while to fine tune. It's worked out well, and there are quite a few more members there than you've got here.
