I have noticed a change in the forum-I think. Now if I use the "fast reply" feature, the forum automatically adds that discussion to a subscription. Is it supposed to do that? Can I turn that off somewhere? It seems to me limke this is new-but I have only been around a few months.
thanks!

If you click on "my controls". On the left, down the page there is an e-mail options link, uncheck "email notification by default" box, and you should be fine

Ok, I did all that, and a few others too. And I even exited and came back. But still, the 'Enable email notification' is still checked below the fast reply box. Hm. So, if I post this, will I now be subscribed?

Only time will tell! And if someone were to post to me, that'd be great, hmmkay? Thaaanks...

Well, lo and behold, yes indeedy, it DID subscribe me to this.

Ok, I officially ask for the removal of this checkmark in it's ON state. Leave it OFF, and if someone wants to be subscribed, they can turn it on.

Or better yet, why doesn't it look at the settings I have and realize it's supposed to be off in the first place?

Thanks. And my avatar would still make a great coffee mug print for TMS. I just want a penny each mug...

Leave the e-mail notification check marked, but then in the drop down, choose No e-mail notification. Thats what I have found to work best.

This is some new options with teh board and honestly, i havent found a way to turn it off completely yet. Trust me, its annoying the crap out of me. I get all the returned mail and everything from users who have the wrong e-mail address. Its quite annoying.

Well, that's what I did, and it now subscribed me, but I'm guessin the 'no email' is gonna do that?

Keep up the good work and all. You can delete these if ya wanna, of course. You da mod!
