ATTENTION: DO YOU HAVE AN ISSUE? Post all issues here!

Instead of 4,978,098,796,128.3 threads asking why your Avatar looks funny lets keep all the problems you encounter to one thread. As you post the problems I'll update this post and reply with a fix as soon as it's done.

Issues & Resolutions

My avatar looks squished/funny.
Go you your UserCP and re-upload your Avatar.

I have to log in everytime I come to the forums.
This is due to a problem with your cookies. Clear all your cookies, close your browser, then come back to the forums and log in.

All of my subscriptions are gone.
This was an unfortunate side effect of the forum repair. We are sorry it happened, but it was necessary to fix a larger database issue caused by upgrade not playing well with a modification.

I don't like the Red.
What the owner wants the owner gets. Kapeesh?

X items was set to "THIS" on the board before the fix.
We have a list of those settings and we will be returning those to the previous levels. Give us some time.

I can't post in a forum. It says something about moderator approval.
This is due to mis-configured permission set. Please report which forums and subforums this occurs in and we'll be happy to rectify it.

Please post any issues you have below and we'll address them individually. Thank you for your co-operation.

PM limit set at 50 (including inbox and outbox). is this going to stay that way?

4 character minimum search, and 10 character min post. this going to stay as well?

Are you going to continue pruning photos out of old but useful threads?

Will .csv files be added to allowable post attachments? (this would be great for sct logs)

I know in most php based buletin boards there is an ability to add skins that the user can configure. this would pacify the people who don't dig the red. just a thought.

What happened to "the customers always right"?

-Bring back the "who's viewing this thread" at the bottom of the page

-Higher image limit

-Bring back user's real name and location below user avatar

Post Id changed

After your database rebuild all the post IDs have shifted. Everyone who posted links to other topics has broken links...

No. The PM settings will be returned to the values it was before the fix.

No, the 10 character post limit will not stay.

It's most likely that the 4 character minimum search character will stay. Considering how large the database is anything under 4 characters in a search can put quite a load on the SQL side of the forums. Add on a couple hundred users hammering away at a three character search and you'll see the board slow to a crawl. But, you can cheat the system by attaching a * operand to the end of a three character search. Like SCT, if you do SCT* it will meet the minimum search requirements.

Can you provide some links? Are you sure they aren't broken links?

That's not available by default but we are getting back around to all of our custom modifications. We definately want to be able to support our vendors!

That's up to Brad and he's probably monitoring this thread.

as far as the pruning goes I was talking about old threads that have the dreaded red x for pictures. this is a result of attachment pruning.

as far as the .csv attachment being disallowed that is as simple as adding the extension in the admin control panel in the options for allowed attachments.

Tell me about it.

In addition, the new change didn't fix the wierd characters issue. Prior to the last update, everywhere a ' or " was used, funky characters are now in their place.

Example:
(now) here’s
(should be) here's

When the dust settles, I have a lot of editing to do.

In the 2005-2009 sub forums, I see that the Interior/Audio and Exterior forums have been separated out of the Appearance Mods forum, but the Appearance Mods one is still there with nothing in it.

I had to move some groups around to keep new members from spamming The Marketplace. Now you have to have at least 5 posts and be registered for at least 3 days before you can post there.

Not sure if I read an answer for this so I'll ask:

Will the subscriptions be returned systematically or will this require us re-subscribing them?

Would prefer system but if I have to do it manually I will. Just don't want to do the work if I don't need to.

What's up with that?

Geez, this is crazy. I've tried to post in two different forums, but I get the "moderator approval" message, and my post doesn't show up. I hope this is an error and not the new way of posting around here.

Okay, found a workaround - quick reply instead of advanced.

Well, apparently quick reply DOESN'T always work, so the problem still exists.Although I seem to have no problem posting in this thread.
