Access to stored PM's (Instructions Inside)
If you are missing PM's and would like to retrieve them, we have temporarly set up the old forum database. You will need to login to your user using your old password and retrieve the PM's you need. If you would like, you can download all your PM's at one time by doing the following:
NOTE: Downloading your PM's in an Excel importable format is probably the easiest.
On the new forum, you may still have Unread messages showing in your User CP. Here is how you clear that: (Read these instructions carefully or you will lose data!)
That should take care of all the missing PM's. If you need any attachements or want to convert your saved links, all the threads and pictures are still in place. Good luck and let us know if you have any issues!
- Access the old forum by clicking on this link.
- Enter the User CP
- On the left hand side, look at the Messenger section of the navigation menu.
- Click on Archive Messages
- Follow the instructions and make sure you DO NOT DELETE your PM's!

On the new forum, you may still have Unread messages showing in your User CP. Here is how you clear that: (Read these instructions carefully or you will lose data!)
- Enter your Private Message folder by clicking on this link.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the "Inbox" and find Download all Private Messages as: in the bottom right hand corner and click on one of the links to backup all the PM's in your Inbox. (XML or Text works the best)
- WARNING! The next step will delete data. Read the entire set of instructions before continuing. You have been warned twice!
- In the Folder Controls box at the top of the page, find and click on the link that says Empty Folder. WARNING! Clicking on that link will empty everything in your Inbox. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED THREE TIMES!
- This will clear your entire inbox and the "Ghost" unread messages. WARNING: Once you click on Empty Folder those PM's in your Inbox are gone forever. FINAL NOTICE!
That should take care of all the missing PM's. If you need any attachements or want to convert your saved links, all the threads and pictures are still in place. Good luck and let us know if you have any issues!

I changed the preferred downloading format to an "Excel importable" file. The "HTML" is MIME encoded, if you don't know what that is or how to use it, download the Excel format.
If you don't have MS Excel, then get Open Office and use CALC to import.

Following the second set of instructions doesn't work. I still have 0 unread, 23 total messages. There are 0 messages in my inbox and sent items folders. I even deleted some messages on the old forum (4 to be exact), hoping the count would come down. That isn't the case.

You have 15 messages stored, of a total 50 allowed.
We are going to be removing the old forums from the site completely in roughly 72 hours. If you need access to your old PM's or post, PLEASE GET IT NOW!
