I wish someone ( a moderator) would PM people (I want call any names) and remind them that there is a interior, exterior, and tuner section of the 05 forums. I get so tired of reading stuff on the main forum that should be in those sections and some people continually post that stuff there.

Maybe its just me, but why have the sections if they are not going to be used.

Trust me, its a gripe of ours as well. We have been discussing a restructure of the entire 05 section

how about putting the whole 05 section under subforums?
Just add something like 05 general chat, and add all of the "loose" post in there.

this way, people will have to choose a subforum, and actually notice what they are clicking on

I did not call any names purposely and you KNOW I like your yellow Mustang.....Heck I like all Mustangs and most people.
Its just that some people know those sections are there and they deliberately post things in the main forum. They will be called out by other members and still will do it again in 5 minutes. Thats why I suggested a moderator doing it.

I like Lalo's idea and make it 05 and above. It's not that long till the 06's will be out.

I think some do it on purpose so that their topic will be seen. They know it will be moved, but they want maximum exposure. Folks also post in the tech sections when they should post in the generic 05 section.

You have a good point there. I cruised some other sites this evening and found the same thing there so its a common problem on all sites.

Maybe I was just having a bad day.

Just to clarify again.....I was not griping about new people. The ones I was griping about have been here a long time and purposely do it.

I'll take some of that gripe water now!!

Donna...

We do PM members when they seem to do it a LOT, and on purpose.

Maybe we should say "next time you do it, we delete the topic"

Steve, no, just delete the Link to the moved topic... if they are long time members and post in the 05 section simply for exposure, it gets moved, AND the link gets deleted. Hopefully it happens within a few minutes of the original post.

If people would stop posting 05 for exposure, others would get used to going to the particular forum for topics of interest. I dont know how more simple Brad and Scott can make this site, its the easiest one on the net.
