I abosolutely love that guy's car. Only change I'd make is swapping the '04 Mach 1 style wheels for the more original looking Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500's.

Maybe I am just a lost cause but I am not a fan of it. The 60's/70's are done lets leave them done. I know this car is retro but I think that they look much better with a sleek look. I know to each his own but thats deffinately not me. Maybe its the rear lovers, not really sure . But I do like the wheels. So far the best looking 05 I have seen is the girl who post on this board with the boyd smoothies.[/quote]
Guess I'm old school, because you and I are on complete opposite ends of this one. I think the so-called throwback look is so awesome. I'm 46 and the muscle car look is what I grew up with and still love to this day. That last thing I would do is slap 19" or 20" wheels on and slam my car down low, and make a boulevard cruiser out of it. That doesn't appeal to me at all. I'll take the drag strip anytime!!
Maybe that is a testament to the versatility of the 2005+ Mustang. It can be different things to different people.

Hau Tai-Tang, are you reading this?
THAT is what a future BOSS should look like!
...
... minus the GT badging and that dorky hood scoop, of course...
... might also need an off-set, tri-bar emblem in that grill, too...

As far as the drag racing comment. I had my 00gt at the strip the 3rd day I had it. Nothing about that car says drag car to me.

That car isn't missing side pipes. They didn't have side pipes on 69 Boss/Mach 1s.
I personally love that car. That's what I've been picturing mine to look like when I'm done. Minus the Shaker, plus the Glassback, plus matte black rear deck, minus the C-stripes for rocker panel stripes. It'll be a blend of the 69 Boss/Mach 1 and the Shelby Mustangs. In the matte black hood there will be a flat black ghost of the Pony/Tri-bar emblem.

I didnt say I didnt like the old school cars. I love them . But I think that tacking on a lovers, stripes , and fake hood pins are not needed on this car. Takes away from the sleek look of the car. Makes it too bulky looking. Heck all your missing on that car is a set of Ghey side pipes.

Here is a picture of the perfect drag car. No lovers needed for it. I am sure they would fly right off it.

We all have our preferences. I am really happy how mine is turning out. Sure, some of you might say you hate it and that is fine. I know I have seen some pics that I didn't care for either. So hate my stripes, louvers, shaker, etc. It doesn't bug me. I probably only get 1 person saying "hmm, I don't like it" compared to the hundreds that love it

Doug, if you read earlier on my car does have something to do with this topic. The topic is about that yellow car and someone said that the hood scoop was stupid. I commented that it is not a hood scoop, and that it was the shaker. Read the posts and you will see what I am talking about. I am just replying back to comments made that were pointed directly (or perhaps indirectly) at me.
