For all you Windveil Blue fans !! I just finished a Rambler American Vert for my Brother-In-Law. When I started the car it was purple...and yes I mean purple!! Any way He wanted a nice blue so I showed him some color chips and low and behold he picked windveil!! In all honesty I did NOT steer him towards the color. Truth be known its a pain in the **** to spray...anyway...He picked it...here are some pics...For all you windveil lovers

Thanks. I just deliverd it. B.I.L (Brother.In.Law) was very happy...darn I hate doing jobs for family...nothing like working for free.... The color looks great on the car !! I was really happy the way it turned out. I think Im the first painter to spray a car an 05 color !!!...other than another Stang I mean...

flight96 it looks great...dare i say it,but it almost looks better on the rambler then it does on the mustang

did you do the trunk, door jams, motor area? and if so,how hard is it to do motor area?...i would love to have a custom painted 05/06 but wouldn't motor area be a pain?...guess it would involve removing lots of stuff from firewall etc?

That Rambler looks great wearing a Ford color. No surprise, really. Windveil is sort of retro, so it looks natural on that older convertible. And that Redfire 'Stang is SWEET!

Great job

I'd love to see Legend Lime on another old car... any chance?

Ya never know....The next project is a 67 Mustang coupe. They want it green sooooo...

Yes I did it all...pain in the hiney....But it came out nice. The engine bay on this one was easy. There's a lot of room and its an inline 6 so not too bad to do. On the new Stang...whew...There's a ton of things you would have to deal with...very time consuming job, but it can be done.

Ken, I didn't know you could do auto paint. I just dropped off my mirrors and louvers to get painted at a body shop. I could have paid you instead!
