Congrats on your new arrival
I must say you made a good choice in color and options. Mine is very close except for an auto and it's still not here.

Bananas for you !

Now post some PICS, if you can stop driving :drive: long enough!

Everyone, Thanks again for all the congrats and the dancing bananas. :-)

Brad - Thanks so much for changing my name to SoFL05GT. :worship:

D/05 FSTBK - I agree, the black does show the car's lines very well. I'm located in So FL. (been here for 43 years)

Chris/CelticCub - I had two full years of enjoyment driving the Mach1 and it will definitely be remembered. Heck, I still remember all my stangs (65 fastback 2+2, 66 fastback, 69 Mach1, 70 Mach1, 71 mach1, 73 Grande, 94 Mustang GT and 01 Bullitt).

Dave/Burke0011 - A So FL Source meet-up would be fun. I hope we can work it out.

Thomas/TJ4Cam - I loved the Mach1 and miss it a little, but now I have a new baby. BTW - They gave me $17,500 trade-in for the Mach1 (had only 13,444 miles).

That's cool. Those Mach I's still turn my head on the road! I think the new car will give you years of driving pleasure.

People have asked me if I missed cars that I've had in the past, particularly my '71 Plymouth GTX, my '71 Dodge Charger Super Bee and my '58 Olds Super 88. I never really missed them. I enjoyed having them, but never regretted selling them because it meant I was moving onto something new, and in most cases, something better. I'd give my eye teeth to have ANY of the cars you've had! I doubt I'll miss my Audi once it's gone; I'll be too busy enjoying the 'Stang!

Best of luck again with your new ride, buddy.

If anyone remembers, I had originally ordered an 05 GT Premium, Auto, Sonic Blue. Only, just before it arrived, I had second thoughts about trading in my 03 Mach1 5spd. I thought about keeping the Mach1 and getting the 05 too. I thought this would be possible if I could just get the dealer to just discount the 05 a little more. Well it didn't work out and I just let the dealer sell the 05 to someone else. Anyhow, I quickly regretted letting the car go. I just had to have this new generation of Mustang, so again, I decided it WAS time to give up the Mach1 and started looking for its replacement.

Well today, I came across a beautiful Black GT Premium, IUP & ICAP (red leather), 5 speed manual, upgraded wheels, and active theft. Only had 4 miles on it. ....
Today, a friend over on Mach1Registry.com took my VIN and found out my car's actual build date. And can you believe this, my new black 05 Mustang GT was built on exactly the same day as the sonic blue one that I had first ordered. Both cars were built 2/3/2005 (Thurs.) of build week JAN 31st!

Is that funny or what

Same exact combo I got, and I just walked onto a dealership and bought it also Under MSRP too, even though they had people looking at it all day long.
