Sweet ! aren't those coastal drives in a Mustang almost like having bit the bullett and like driving it around in Heaven . is for me, but then I have to come back to work to pay for all the gas I used, which brings to mind why do we pay for something that is a part of the Earth and someone else gets filthy rich selling it, why is it thiers to sell. Very Nice Pictures

Not just that but drops jaws as well. Apart from mine and the other ones at the dealers I've never seen any on the road as there are only 20-30 S197s Down Under at the moment. Because of how dear they are mostly collectors have them [tucked away in the garage]so not too many actually on the road.

Cheers Mate. John Pony.

Looks great! It must be pretty awesome to cruise around and have everyone agape as they watch you drive by.

+1 for BM's Falcon comment

John, congrats! Beautiful Mustang. Love the Tungsten Grey. Thanks for the great pics of your drive on the south coast.

It's winter down there, huh? Well I'm jealous! It was over 100 degrees today here in Northern California where I live. It's a warm night too. Good for a moon light drive with the top down.

Best wishes and glad to see you're enjoying your Mustang.

Thanks Ed , being California you would have the same type of mild winters there as we have here. Enjoy yer vert on a warm summer night mate.

John, thanks for taking us on a nice road trip down the blow hole at Kiama. Beautiful country! Loved the narrow country road and the green of the coastal hills.

Below is a post of yours from another thread:

John, suppose I wanted to vacation in your beautiful country and shipped my Mustang GT vert down under. I'd pay the 30k to convert to right hand drive and the have the mirror conversion done. Would I need to pay as much import tax as you do on a new Mustang shipped to a dealer?

I was just day dreaming about driving my Mustang all around Australia and then selling her for enough to pay for my trip.

Also, if I didn't bring my wife along with me, would I have the terrible problem of lots of "sheilas" jumping into my Mustang when I had the top down?

I guess if that was such a good idea, lots of folks would be doing it already.

Since you've been so kind to share your pics of your Mustang with us, I thought I'd return the favor.

Looks nice Ed , If i was going to get a vert it would be a red one for sure.
As for bringing it down under if you have owned it for more than a year you wold not have to pay tax there would only be transport , conversion , compliance plate and engineering rego. All up about 45-50k AUS. Before you ask , Sorry i don't rent mine out.
